For those of you who are avid readers and devoured the November post right away, this is just a formatting change that has created a second post. For those of you who followed the link from Part 1, here’s Part 2.
For all of you, here’s Glen McCann.
Glen McCann and Sullivan Mahoney LLP
If you have browsed around this website, you must have seen the name Sullivan Mahoney come up frequently. Sullivan Mahoney has a long history of supporting the performing arts in St. Catharines and, in particular, the downtown core, receiving the Mayor’s Patron of the Arts award in 2009. Glen McCann, who has also been a member of the Board of Directors at Carousel Players since 1997, accepted the award on behalf of the law firm. However, Glen’s relationship with Carousel goes back considerably further than 1997. As a St. Catharines native he recalls seeing Carousel’s very earliest offerings forty years ago.
Sullivan Mahoney is proud to be a supporter of the arts in St. Catharines. We are the naming sponsor of the Carousel’s home, the theatre located in the beautifully renovated old courthouse at the corner of King and James Street, the Sullivan Mahoney Courthouse Theatre. It is the principal venue for presentations by the member groups of DAPA, the Downtown Alliance for the Performing Arts. DAPA consists of 10 local groups of performing artists. We believe that these companies make a very large contribution to the downtown culture and the livability of St. Catharines. We encourage everyone to make the effort to take in some of their offerings. You may be surprised at how sophisticated St. Catharines is!
See? Even when given an opportunity to shine in the spotlight, Glen manages to turn the attention back to the arts and St. Catharines. I also happen to know that I can count on Glen for honest feedback and sound guidance at board meetings. Plus, he makes delicious hors d’oeuvres. Really.
