Carousel Players offers an active theatre school program each summer led by professionals in the Sullivan Mahoney Courthouse for ages 5 to 14.
Summer 2012 – Carousel Players summer camps attract over 100 students from ages 5 to 14 years to experience many aspects of the arts at one of our 6 different camps. Here’s a sneak preview of our one-week camps in 2012 ($175 per week for each of these 5 camps) and our new Shaw Acting Intensive for Youth Camp ($350 for the 9-day camp includes Shaw ticket):
Drama & Art with Monica Dufault and Laurie Boese for ages 5 to 8 (July 9 – 13)
Munsch Comes Alive with Teresa Vanderbent for ages 5 to 8 (July 16 – 20)
Acting with Jennifer Balen for ages 9 to 12 (July 23 – 27). Registration $175
Stage Combat & Fight Choreography with Richard Lee for ages 9 to 12 (July 30 – Aug 3)
Puppetry with Carrie Costello for ages 5 to 8 (August 20-24)
Announcing the new Shaw Acting Intensive For Youth being offered this summer at the Courthouse – from August 7 to 17, 2012. A nine-day intensive program by Carousel Players in partnership with Shaw Festival for youth aged 10 to 14. 
Participants work with many Shaw Festival professionals to sharpen their acting skills through workshops and scene study. Includes a matinee of His Girl Friday on August 7th and other activities at The Shaw Festival. Classes held at Carousel Players in St. Catharines Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm. Registration $350 includes Shaw ticket.
