Welcome to our website! We have been working hard preparing for our 40th Anniversary celebrations (what? you didn’t know?) and this new site is the first of many ways in which we want to celebrate and converse with you.
So, yes, 2011-2012 will be our 40th season. Every year we see new children, families and educators at, both, the theatre and schools. That means we have lots of new friends to invite to our festivities (hint: there will be a party at the end of the season), but we want to celebrate with all of our old friends too. There are a lot of you (let’s start with the 2.7 million people who have seen our shows over the years) so we know there is a wealth of Carousel Players stories that we want to hear. We hope you will take this opportunity to say hello, share your stories and reconnect with old friends.
We also want to recognize your contributions to Carousel Players, so we have created the Faces of Carousel campaign. We have chosen 12 categories that encompass the many people who have made our success possible over the years. Every month, we will celebrate one of those groups, highlighting the accomplishments of one or more individuals. You will have an opportunity to comment and contribute thoughts, stories, ideas… Let’s see how many categories you can tag yourself to!
Here is the month by month breakdown. You can bookmark this post if you like, as it will be the hub for the various postings throughout the year.
